Happy Mothers' Day!Thoughts on this year's Mothers'
Day.
This year's a little more special since we've got
the six-week old munchkin along with the four-year old one. I went with the
oldest one earlier this week to help her pick out a little something for her mom
and that was cool. It was also cool watching her give it and a card she
decorated herself to her mom.
We weren't sure what time we were going to get going this morning since the youngest was bit fussy last night and we didn't do well with sleep. However, we were able to get everyone up and dressed before 9am (not an easy task for me this time!) so we could all go to church. We're currently renting a house and plan on buying on later this year. The parish seems to have a ton of kids and we really like the area so we're hoping to find a place in the parish's district. The oldest one, Stephanie, will be going to preschool this fall and I'd really like to be able to keep her in the same one and grow up in one neighborhood so she can get some friends and grow up with them. The newest one, Emma, was great in church. She seemed to calm down when all the singing and talking started. Afterwards, we went home so she could eat and then we all went out for lunch. Emma slept through lunch so we were all able to enjoy it! That's not yet a natural occurrence so we were very happy! Make sure you at least call your mom and tell her that you love her. You'll miss it when she's gone. Mom, I miss you and I wish you could have seen your latest grandchild. She's pretty cool. Posted: |
